Cough, hack, sneeze, blow nose, snuffle, repeat as necessary......
This is the second cold I've had this month. Fuck. I'm lucky if I get one cold a year, and now two in a month's time? WTF????? I missed a day of work at the beginning of February, and I stayed home again today. I just didn't have the energy to get up and get ready, walk to the bus, then walk to my office and do my usual daily routine. Plus I haven't slept for shit for about 3 days now. Usually when I'm sick I sleep all damn day, but this time I sleep for an hour or two, wake up, cough and blow my nose, then try to get comfortable again. Then I get hot, throw the covers off, disturb the cats, then I get cold, cover up, and within an hour I'm throwing them off again. I think my fever is gone, but my energy level is just not there. And I'm sure I will end up getting my butt chewed at work for calling in sick again. I was on probation last fall for my attendance, and now I'm afraid that I will be on it again. My job is one where I HAVE to be there------I am a receptionist and someone needs to be there to answer phones and stuff. But jesus, I can't help it if I get sick. The bigwigs get all pissy if I call in sick, and my coworkers get all pissy if I come into work hacking and coughing and snotting all over the place.
My creative muse seems to have left me. I have ideas for stories, stuff to sew and crochet, but I just don't have the urge to sit down and do it. Foo.
