Family Sucks!
Let’s start with the baby of the bunch, Damian. He’s the newest to hold the Robin title, and honestly I believe he’ll be the last. The kid’s only ten years old, and he’s killed more men than I have. Kind of scary if you think about it, but seems no one does. He’s just treated as this little kid, and it’s so far from the truth it’s not funny. The kid can behead a grown man without blinking an eye, then turn around and pretend he’s done nothing wrong. And they think I need therapy. Ha!
You know, even though I’ve tried to kill him a few times, Timmy’s got to be my favorite. He’s not short of a reaction for something, and it’s never a small little thing. Looking at him, you’d think he’d be just like good old “daddy”, but he’s not. He lets his emotions run wild, and that’s why I love to mess with him. Sure I hate that Tim replaced me, but now that Timmy’s been replaced? I don’t feel so bad. Little Timmy knows the pain of being kicked out of the family, and he didn’t even get booted by the main man. He got kicked by Dickie. And you know what? The kid’s better off. Hate admitting it, but Tim’s the best of us.
Many people don’t know that Bruce adopted a girl. They just sort of assume that he’s just got us boys. But Cassandra shouldn’t be over looked. She’s got the same training as Damian does, add that with the training Bruce gave her, and her own experiences. The girl’s good. Sure she’s got her own issues, but we all do. And if she ever comes back, I know I’ll gladly welcome her home. Even if I’m not part of the “family” anymore.
Last but not least, is Dickie. Our dear older brother. He’s taken on the mantle of our father, and to tell you the truth, I don’t think he’s going to last. Dick’s too friendly to be the Batman, he’s got no idea what that cowl is going to do to him, and I with a Robin like Damian, he’s going to fall and he’s going to fall hard. A part of me doesn’t want to see it happen, but another part wants to be the reason. Out of the whole family, I always thought Dickie was the one who cared about me the most. But it turns out he’s just like Bruce. He doesn’t give a rats ass about me, or about helping me. He just wants me out of his hair. Well guess what Dickie, I’m not going anywhere!
