As with most of my first attempts, while they may be delicious, they are usually failures. Things I've learned for tomorrow:
1) Bake the gingerbread longer - this will make it not pliable at all
2) Use toothpicks to temporarily hold the walls up
3) Cut the shapes using the REVERSE of that patterns so the correct side faces outward
The good news is that everything fits together! WOOOO!
