Colorado
Soooooo......
Here I am in Colorado. I left Manchester yesterday morning at about 9, and had a layover in Detroit. While in Detroit the weirdest thing happened. After i had something to eat i was on my way back to the gate to wait for my flight. I was on my way, and i saw somebody looking at me, and i looked at him...it was Tommy Lasala! haha, what are the chances of that? He was in Detroit on his way back from Tennessee, while i was on my way to Colorado. Funny how we ran into eachother in the same city, in the same terminal...weird!
My Dad and I went to the Avalanche game in Denver last night. They played the Calgary Flames...one of the 2 teams i like besides the Bruins. The Flames, and Ottawa Senators are the only other teams i like. Anyhow the game was great. First Calgary went up 2-0, and late in the third the Avalanche tied it up at 2. Nobody scored in overtime, so i saw my first shootout in person! killer! Tony Amonte was the only one to score for Calgary, and nobody scored for Colorado. So, the Flames won...i was happy. Phillip Sauve (Calgary's goalie) played out of his head, and was amazing. Great game, it felt like being at a playoff game.
There hasn't been a lot to do today, so we actually went to a train museum. Oddly enough, it turned out to be pretty interesting. They had tons of stuff from the early 1800's to present time, it was cool...Then we took a tour at the Coors brewery which was fun. It is a HUGE building, and the biggest brewery in the world. At the end of the tour we were able to have 3 free samples of any of their beers we wanted. So i tried Winterfest, had a glass of Molson, and a glass of Coors Light. Pretty good for free!
Anyhoo that's all that's gone on the last few days. Colorado is kinda boring when you don't bring your ski stuff. It looks like tomorrow my Mom is going to meet up with my sister to go shopping, and my Dad and I are going to drive up to Wyoming. Thursday is Thanksgiving at my Sister's place, and friday is kind of a free day before we come home Saturday. Being away is fun for a day or two, but i'm lame in the fact that i really, really like being home. So...that's it for now. God Bless
