Ireland - Day 1

Jun 16, 2010 20:31

We had a full Irish breakfast, and I have to say I love bangers (it's like a strip of bacon about 4 inches across and a bit more hammy).

We saw Sage's campus (she had some schooling over here) and snagged lunch in the college cafeteria which, and I kid you not, has a bar.

There's actually as much room at the bar as there is to get food. Priorities.

We walked around a bit and did some light shopping. I picked up a light jacket as it gets quite cool. I've given up converting Celcius to Farenheit and I go by this simple Irish scale:

10C - Cool
15C - Nice
20C - Warm
20C+ - Never happens
10C- - Never happens

Weather has been very nice.

We went back out again to get dinner and some groceries. We both got Irish Stew but, and I kid you not, a bird pooped in mine. Thankfully it was a real bird and not these guys:

They gave me another but my appetite was a bit waning at that point.

We've booked a trip to the Aran Islands tomorrow, so we're spending the evening in so we're nice and rested.
