A Terrifying Child
Hattori was not one who was easily intimidated. Aside from Kazuha, nothing could do it on a consistent basis.

"And they're going after that one, for the 'fire.' Don't you agree, Hattori-niichan?"
Hattori nodded. "Yeah, that's it exactly."
Conan smirked up at him. "Then we better keep an eye on him, so we can get our proof."
Hattori watched Conan go, following him after a moment. The way the kid said it all so calmly, so orderly and focused. He made the delivery just like Kudo would. That, in itself, did not intimidate him. What made the kid so downright, well, terrifying.
It was the fact that he has to remind himself the kid is SEVEN YEARS OLD.
And yet he was on his and Kudo's level.
The word protege and genius had been used for him and Kudo before. If they were genius protege's, then this kid was something beyond even that.
Again, what the kid did wasn't so terrifying in itself until he remembered his age.
And thought just what kind of...God of Deduction this kid would be when he was seventeen.
