Jason and Laurie, July 2007 (or! My Cousin's Wedding)

Aug 13, 2007 14:47

My cousin Jason got married a few weeks ago, and I took the train all the way down from Vermont to New York City. It was kind of a huge deal, and they were married in St. Patrick's Cathedral. But I have to say that my favorite part of the service (besides how beautiful Jason and his wife, Laurie, looked) were all of the tourists sitting off to the side taking pictures. I mean, the place was seriously packed full of tourists. Anyway, I wasn't a part of the service, but Jason is my 1st cousin and we're pretty close, so this wedding was very much a special one. Check it out!

The beautiful bride Laurie, and her father heading to the church. Isn't her dress amazing?

The bridesmaids heading over with my cousin Ali, the groom's sister, in the lead. She also got married at St. Pats and I was a flower girl in her service. It was one of the longest walks of my life.

Walking down the aisle together.

Jason waving at the altar.

Holding hands.

My amazing Aunt Alexa and mother of the groom.

About to say their vows. That's Laurie's sister on the left.

Look at the crazy altar.

Yeaaa!! They're married.

Heading out into the city. I love this picture.

My baby cousin Caroline, one of the flower girls.

My Uncle Pete, father of the groom, with my other baby cousin Giovanna. She was also a flower girl, but never really made it down the aisle.

A bride takes to the streets of New York.

My dad before he put on his tux, looking slightly lost. But you can my dapper and already in-his-tux boyfriend on the right talking to my mother's best friend <3.
