Hello, I'm one of the new mods here. I apologize that there have been so many mod posts the last few days. This is a brand new community that has suddenly exploded due to being listed as a spotlight community. Considering all of that, everything has been going quite well here. So just bear with us mods as we try to get all of the kinks worked out

The layout is really beautiful :) Hang in there. You're all making this a cool place to be.

Thanks but the only thing about the layout that I can take credit for is the headers on the user info page. The journal layout is actually one of the defaults provided by LJ. It's still really cool though. :)

ah, it was you making the changes.

Being the mod of tagging, I made a few changes to your changes, mainly keeping "location: place" to named places, ie Boston, and letting generic places, ie beach, stay as a non-qualified tag.

Can you figure out how to make the tags show up as a tag cloud instead of a list? I think that would be really cool.

yah that was me. I figured you were the other one. :) You're right. It is addictive.

I'm not sure how to do that, but I'd love to figure it out because I like that so much better. Maybe a project for tomorrow. It'd make me really happy b/c I'm using the same layout for my personal wedding journal as well (which is why I already had those headers I used on the user info).

and I've found this really great website, http://www.trashthedress.com that is mainly just a blog of wedding photos of the bride and groom, for the most part, and I thought maybe it would be helpful to this community? I don't know, haha, just figured I'd let you all know about it just in case :)

Someone mentioned that link a few days ago. I haven't checked it out yet. I'll check it out tomorrow (or one of the other mods can) and might link to it in the user info.

I've been lurking for a few days now, and I love the community! I just wanted to note, however, with the new layout, some of the pictures are being cut out on the right side by the tag links... not all of them, but most of the big ones. Any way we could fix this?

We'll work on it. For now, maybe just make the sample image a little smaller? I'll try to get to it tomorrow if no one figures something out before then.

It's not only the sample images. The side text stays there after you click the cut link.

I LOVE the tags!! They are so handy - especially for planning and getting ideas.
