August 22nd, 2004 - Where does the time go?

Hi Everyone! I've really enjoyed seeing everyone's beautiful photos. I thought I'd share some of ours, just to be fair. And hey, who doesn't love to show off their wedding photos?? 8P My husband Chris and I were married on August 22nd, 2004, and I honestly can't believe 3 years has nearly passed!! I'm American, and he's Welsh, so we were married in Margam Orangery just around the corner from where we live here in south Wales. It's where all the fruit trees for the local estate were kept, but has been turned into a gorgeous venue. We also had pictures in the castle and under the 13th century Abbey ruins. Later in the year, we travelled back to my family home in Iowa, and had a blessing ceremony in the garden so that my family could be there as well. Hope you all enjoy!
Warning: not for dial-up!!

Getting ready:

Arriving in the car with my Dad:

Our wedding party with me pretending to sign the Register (it's illegal to take pictures of the real one apparently). My MOH is my friend Sharlene who flew in from Chicago. You wouldn't know it, but another friend made her dress and neither had seen my dress. The ring bearer and his sister who was our flower girl are the kids of the best man, and are family friends. The wall behind us is glass, not a mirror.

The Wedding Kiss!

The full wedding party and both sets of parents in front of the Orangery.

Me and the girls:

My parents, and the inlaws:

Cutting the cake and away in the car:

The full group:

Here's a couple from the blessing, which was obviously a far more relaxed venue shall we say!
