Some random group is attempting to spur a day where everyone tries to go one whole day without computers. March 24th. At least it is a Saturday so people won't be able to use work as an excuse not to try.
I like how to get the world out for this event they use they internet: http://shutdownday.com/ -- would have been even more impressive if they had done it using other modes of communication like radio, newspaper, and word of mouth.
