on pointless colored paper
bought from money, not made from the heart.
petals like wilted lust in the stail heat of california weather
and chocolate melts away
while the cherry center has rotted
from years of wrongs, cracks...
molded from the soggy tears that couldn't escape
the hard encased shell
it just wasn't cracked enough
but all the same
