[Jack has been out doing much the same thing, sans the rudeness and shoving past people. He knows it's futile, but the weight of the Doctor's sonic screwdriver in his pocket keeps reminding him that he has to at least try. He's a bit of a hypocrite, having told the Doctor not to go after Jenny, but... it's the Doctor.]

[Spotting the Master, he frowns and considers avoiding him, but curiosity prompts him toward the other Time Lord.] Lost something?

They don't seem to leave much of a trail. [He pulls the sonic screwdriver from his pocket.] I only found this, and he obviously didn't struggle, so at least they didn't hurt him when they were taking him. [His voice is tense... he doesn't like sharing any information with the Master, but is hoping to get some clues in return.]

I was going to head for the forest, maybe near the mountains. That's where Jenny showed up, so maybe their base is near there.

They might not have hurt him in the process but that really means nothing, now, doesn't it. [He shakes his head.] I can't smell him properly anymore. Or sense him. They've done something to spread him out and I don't know what it is yet.

I've already done the forest on the other side of the village so sure, why not? [He says it a little tersely.]

Yes. Only it's scattered. If they have vents....but his smell shouldn't be strong enough to travel.

I'm not relying exclusively on smells. They've also managed to block out his Time Lord signature and cover their tracks annoyingly well. [He frowns, thin-lipped.] Nobody's perfect. There will be something they've missed.
