Compared to some of the other areas in the city, the attack on the Network was almost anticlimactic. Viruses of every shape and description simply hit the major node-servers, both public and private

Naturally, this attracted the attention of at least one of the Darkloids.
BeastMan came upon the chaos during one of his patrols, he was nowhere near the Darkloid's headquarters, which was buried deep in the Network. Nevertheless, he sent a signal back, alerting them to the incident, and requesting that Laserman advise him on their group's course of action.
His claws twitched, as the viral army played out their drama. They would soon be upon him. He had been sent to scout... so he would scout. If they attacked him, so be it.
Copy bounded through the Network, no longer cheerful or playful. There was a viral invasion and people were in danger. Ever since it had started, he had been working almost frantically to help evactuate other Navis. When he saw a Beastman running straight for the virus army, Copy yelped and began waving his arms wildly to catch his attention.
"Sir! Sir! Don't go in that direction! There's too many viruses for you to fight! You need to evacuate!"
"Don't even try to stand between me and them, boy..."
Suddenly, his head snapped in another direction, as he caught Laserman's message to the Darkloids. "Hnn... the Net Saviors? Then my fight isn't here. Perhaps I'll be lucky enough and be the one to battle Netto Hikari..."
Copy stopped in his tracks, confused - but only until Beastman mentioned fighting Netto. The purple Navi's eyebrows drew together in a scowl. "You... you're part of this, aren't you." He gestured at the viral invasion, but kept his eyes fixed on the other navi, glaring. "I won't let you get away with this."
"If you're planning on attacking Hikari Netto, then it does involve me!" Copy growled. It should be noted that his growl wasn't particularly intimidating. "Hikari Netto is my friend!"
Copy was small and agile, and if there was one thing he was good at, it was running and dodging. Even so, he only barely missed having his head taken off by Beastman's claws. "Yow!" That was entirely too close a shave!
But close could be a good thing, too. The closer he was to his target, the more data tendrils he could put out after them. He had a feeling he'd need as many as he could make in order to get Beastman's data - he certainly couldn't do it subtly while running and dodging for his life!
To Beastman's eyes, Copy would appear to have turned into a giant mass of fine purple hair, all of which was streaking out toward him in an attempt to wrap him up like a coccoon. If even one strand managed to stay connected to him long enough, Copy would have his powers.
One advantage to being completely covered in "hair" was that it made it difficult for people to target him directly. The slash managed to slice off a significant chunk of his data tendrils, but Copy himself remained unscathed. He sprang after Beastman, extending the tendrils ahead of him. He just needed to make contact...
Bingo! Copy grinned as several purple strands wrapped around Beastman's ankle, with more heading for other parts of the Darkloid's body.
...?! Beastman struggled against the tendrils, doing his best to try and cut himself free from them. He growled, and decided to just attack them at the source.
"WILD RUSH!" the darkloid howled, firing off his forearms, followed by his own head, all three of them roaring towards Copy, the latter of which prepared to sink his fangs into Copy's body.
Dodging while hanging onto someone was not only difficult, it was next to impossible. The first attack grazed Copy's arm, the second attack missed, but the third attack hit him squarely in the chest. Copy cried out in pain as his Navi symbol was bitten into.

Copy gritted his teeth and activated the copy data. Not only did this make all the data tendrils disappear, but it also dislodged Beastman's head from his chest - not to mention the fact that now he had both Beastman's form and his attacks.
"Two can play at this game!" he shouted. "WILD RUSH!"
BeastMan's eyes widened as his extraneous features snapped back onto his body. It was all the bewildered Darkloid could do to bring up his claws and attempt to shield himself.
Once the attack was over, Copy called his body parts back, grinning triumphantly. He couldn't have asked for a better result to his attack. "Jumping Claw!" he yelled, sending Beastman's own aerial slash back at him.
Two attacks down. Only one left before the copy data was purged.
BeastMan growled, as his arms armor showed cracks. He roared, and rushed at the fake. "BEAST RAY!" he roared, doing his best to match his foe's attack.
Copy yelped as Beastman's claws dug into him, pixels flying from his body where the attack had landed. The pain nearly made him lose his copy form prematurely, but he couldn't, he wouldn't back down. Not when his friend's life was in danger!
"Sh-sharp needle... claw!" he rasped out. It was his last attack before he would be forced to revert to his normal form.

He almost ran towards the army eagerly.
