Unseen- because the unexpected and unobtrusive goes unnoticed so very often, bat-bots from the ruins fluttered out of open windows, traveling here and there, following people into buildings, seeking perches. They took them, then waited.

Iris stumbled around outside. She'd lost LC when he ran out and was just trying now to find somewhere she could be a help. Spotting a group of scared humans unable to fight, she rushed over, Naviforming and activating her barrier to enclose and protect them.

Omega X, now that he had seperated from Zero and gotten a hold of himself, was back to fighting. When he saw a mechanical-looking girl protecting some humans instead of fighting, he activated his dash jets and charged some drones that were jumping to attack her.

Iris couldn't attack, or else she probably would be. As it was, she couldn't hold a barrier for long, so she motioned the humans to run for the shelters and they did.

As it was she had above-human strength and speed, though, so she was able to grab the smaller robots and crush them. And if X came near she would be able to defend him with her barrier if he needed to charge a shot or fire a long attack. She gave a small gasp at the drones, then nodded to thank him. "Most of the humans are gone. If you have any type of high-power wide-range attack I can shield you while you charge it."

Omega X nodded, finally falling back into soldier mode completely, "That would be benefical." Without waiting for Iris to reply, the trim on his armor - now red - turned back to its original gold color, and he started to charge his buster. The energy swirling around it looked almost like rainbow-colored data.

Iris immediately formed her barrier in front of X. It wouldn't hinder his outward attack at all, but it would block pretty much anything incoming from ni front of him. And she was standing pretty much right near a tree, so probably nothing was coming for her. She hoped this would help clear off a large portion of drones and other attacking creatures.

After almost a full minute of charging, a large collection of the rainbow data had gathered around his buster. When it got as big as his head, it stopped growing. Omega X stood, moving so he wouldn't hit Iris, and took aim, "Here we go!" Releasing the energy, a large beam shot from the buster, taking out a lot of the drones in a thirty foot radius.

Iris breathed a sigh a mild relief when the shot went through and let the barrier drop. "All I can do is cover you when you need to shoot," she said apologetically. "I can't attack. So I'll just help you out if that's okay."

"That's fine with me. I'll protect you as much as I can." Omega X moved in front of Iris, covering her as more drones swept in to replace the ones he had destroyed.

Iris was doing her best to keep the barrier up when she felt X needed it, and alternately kicking at or smashing the smaller creature bots.

She only hoped there was nothing huge around to attack them.
