Central District [SPLODY PLOT]

Oct 14, 2006 22:20

Unseen- because the unexpected and unobtrusive goes unnoticed so very often, bat-bots from the ruins fluttered out of open windows, traveling here and there, following people into buildings, seeking perches. They took them, then waited.

The front door to the C-Tank jingled softly as it opened.

Wolf-bots lay in wait, still as statues, their ( Read more... )

Isaac was leaving the Emporium as things started.

He hadn't exactly planned for a routine shopping trip to be interrupted by Death Chaos And Destruction, so he did the first and most logical thing that came to mind.

He dove into a nearby alley, stuck close to the wall, and prayed nothing saw him, quietly muttering a few phrases in Czech that were most definitely not fit for polite company (he'd learned more than just physics from Dr. Cervenka).

Without any weapon systems to defend himself, there wasn't much else he could do.

Issac wasn't alone in that alley either. Ash was hunkered down and surpressed a squeak when he had came into the alley to hide.

"Y-you're not gonna hurt me right?" she's completely freaked out, and it shows.

He blinked - he hadn't realized there was already someone hiding there. "No, I - I'm just trying to stay out of it. I don't even have any weapon systems installed."

Normally he was rather irked that he looked like a twelve-year-old - it made it much harder for people to take him seriously. It occured to him now that it could work in his favor here; maybe anything attacking that had enough intelligence to know the difference would assume he wasn't a threat and pass over him.

Then again, looking at how things were going out there, it might just make him a more tempting target.

He really should've just slept in today.

"Weapons system..." Ash bit back a hiss and scooted away from Issac. "Great, a 'bot."

Considering the current situation and her previous dislike of mechanicals, her words can hopefully be forgiven.

"You can stay, I'm waiting for someone."

Issac wasn't the only one who should've slept in today, it seems.

Isaac didn't seem particularly surprised at her reaction. He'd gotten enough of that in his life to be used to it, though he still tended to find it mildly annoying.

But hey, at least she wasn't chasing him out of the alley. "Thanks."

He turned his attention back to watching the battle outside, and trying - with no success - to figure out what the hell had started it all in the first place.

Ash was also watching the fight, but not for the same reasons as Isaac. She was hoping to see any 'bot in red, gray and yellow out there.

And anyways, chasing him out of the alley meant she'd be losing a nice metal shield too.
