There were merits in coming to the beach to sulk.. or simply to think. Lumine was unsure which he was doing-- the strange, cold upwelling of disappointment after
his foray into the Nexus felt almost alien, and yet Axl's steady presence in the back of his mind was still quiet, deeply asleep after he'd pushed himself to the limits of exhaustion

She smirked and called out to the swimmers.
"Water battles at high noon? Is this a new training exercize I should know about?" she teased.

Ally pulled off her sundress and sent it to data storage, revealing a green bathing suit. She clipped the tracker to a strap of the bag and set it down on the sand.
"Flag in the water," she informed them tiredly as she trod out into the breakers.

“If you don’t mind, I don’t mind,” she said cheerfully. The water was nearly up to her ribcage at the lowest point of the waves. If she could get the flag without soaking her hair, she would. Reploid or not, it took time to dry.

An hour and a half and nothing happened. Netto seemed fine... Ally smiled a little, awkwardly again.

"It was the first time I'd seen Axl with purple hair and red eyes," she said mildly. "They're not his natural color."
He was uncomfortable. ...Axl would have teased me by now. She wished Netto weren't there- she'd have asked what the hell was going on. That wasn't Axl... was he still in there at all? She felt cold- and not because her skin was wet now.
