Beach [open to all]

Aug 16, 2007 04:09

As the sun awoke that morning, spilling new light across the sand, the effort of their labor could be seen by all present. Two mighty forts arose from the sand, facing one another with silent awareness of what was to come next, a battle. Only one would be allowed to stand in the end, only one allowed the prize of victory. Each one was adorn a flag ( Read more... )

Netto whooped and yelled as he dashed across the beach toward the 'enemy' castle, armed only with a orange foam sword which he used to whack at his opponents. So far, he'd managed to dodge all the water balloons that had been lobbed at him, but he knew it was only a matter of time before someone pegged him.

He didn't care.

With a triumphant laugh, Netto swung his sword at the next person who got near him. "Haha! Take that!"

Opening scene I'm guessing? megadidit August 17 2007, 06:45:23 UTC
A boy with a short pony tail of purple and red striped hair whipped around to meet Netto's blow. He had an eyepatch covering one eye as he tried to play the part of pirate. "Arrrrr! Ye dare attack I?" He returned the attack with a swipe of his own sword. "Then t' Davy Jones' locker with ye!"

Netto laughed and exchanged blows with the other boy, not really caring when his opponent managed to hit him every so often. After all, the swords didn't hurt. They just got him a bit wet.

"Who's Davy Jones?" he called back, grinning. He actually didn't know who the guy was. That was a reference to some piece of culture he'd never encountered before.

Grinning back but trying to make it look like an evil pirate smirk, the boy swung his sword wildly, ignoring the hits he took as well.

"T'is pirate talk for t' bottom of the sea, laddie! And don't ye be forgetin'!" Whether Netto knew or not, the other kid was pleased to tell, if only so he had more to say in pirate.

Now this kind of spontaneous insanity was just the thing for his first poking around in RV! Hehehe ~

Red bandanna (of course) looped around his neck where these things belong, Blues slipped like a weasel from the sandfort and headed straight towards the blue-teamer aiming for the bucket, grinning like a little fiend and balloons at the ready.

One of which was lobbed straight for said blue-teamer's noggin --

"I don't think so --!"

((different thread, on account of not wanting to slow things down with my 12-hr shifts on the way >.> can splice it in if you want --))

((also, anyone who wants to help -- or splat! -- the little monster, feel free X3 ))

The kid from the blue team was about to make a dive for the bucket when something slammed into his head and knocked him off course. He skittered to the side a ways and got caught up in a fight with three others. Two other blue members took notice of Blues and unloaded their supersoakers in his direction.

Blues skidded to a halt -- or tried to, sand flying everywhere -- and tried to backpedal as he was drenched from head to toe. (This, predictably, didn't work at all ~)

Unloading his remaining balloons in his attacker's direction, he tried for a mad dash towards the blue team's fort. The goal? Reaching it -- and then trying to dig right through part of the bottom.

Can't stay standing if the bottom's gone ~

Blues' opponents cut off their attack in attempt to block the balloons but were similarly drenched. "Fort runner!" One of them shouted, and another moved to block Blues' path, and then pin him down if given the chance.

Walking into the middle of it: Both time AND literally! :D nolonger2nd August 21 2007, 14:36:38 UTC
It seemed like at least every other day, Vesper would find time to head down to the beach. Today he was heading there a bit earlier in the day for him as he had a day off from work. Dressed in pants and a loose tanktop made him stick out a bit but he never noticed and always wore this to the beach.

What he also didn't notice? That today he was walking into the middle of a war zone. Water balloons, sand forts, and the like weren't exactly uncommon at the beach especially this time of year. The organization between two teams , the tension between red and blue, was one "little" detail that slipped from Vesper's observation.

He had walked along the edge of the shore and settled himself into a spot on the sand. Almost dead center of the battle field. An easy target for anyone, a possible ally for either team, or just some guy getting in the way of things.

Having lost sight of their original goal, the Bucket Master, the two red and blue forces had split up and three blue members decided to use up their remaining ammo before heading back to base. Vesper just happened to be in range when the balloons flew. And he'd left himself wide open, they couldn't resist.

Vesper yelped as one, no two, no three balloons landed and splashed against him. He turned to look in time to see another one coming. He tried to catch it which only broke in his hand.

This next one, however, he was determined to catch. Vesper used both hands and made sure to follow with it to ease the landing. But instead of holding it, he threw it back. He didn't really think about it. Just seemed like the thing to do.

"Hey, he caught it!" Astonished, they stared as the balloon was hurled back in their direction and smacked one in the chest. That seemed to waken them from their shock and they fled back to base.

blue team attacking right wall, red team has the bucket megadidit August 22 2007, 05:17:16 UTC
Oh, what's this? A new blue member? Well, that just would not do and the red team made it known with water gun fire.

"Aim for their right wall!" A girl with blue bandana yelled to her teammates as she ran past for more ammo.

Half of the people fighting seemed to be there, the blue tearing to get at the wall and the red defending. The girl lead a small charge of reloaded combatants when the red's reinforcements came up to attack them from behind with foam swords.

Water!

Everything looked so exciting, that Bass found himself in the middle of it without really knowing what was going on. He managed to bounce from place to place without being hit for awhile, but that couldn't last forever.

Help?

Pirate kid number who knew spotted the kid dodging the fire without anything to protect himself with and darted to the rescue.

Bass pointed in every odd direction at the chaos. "Can I play?" he asked excitedly.

He grinned. "Well, sure! What weapon do you want?" And he pulled them both toward his home base.
