As the sun awoke that morning, spilling new light across the sand, the effort of their labor could be seen by all present. Two mighty forts arose from the sand, facing one another with silent awareness of what was to come next, a battle. Only one would be allowed to stand in the end, only one allowed the prize of victory. Each one was adorn a flag

He didn't care.
With a triumphant laugh, Netto swung his sword at the next person who got near him. "Haha! Take that!"

"Who's Davy Jones?" he called back, grinning. He actually didn't know who the guy was. That was a reference to some piece of culture he'd never encountered before.

"T'is pirate talk for t' bottom of the sea, laddie! And don't ye be forgetin'!" Whether Netto knew or not, the other kid was pleased to tell, if only so he had more to say in pirate.

Red bandanna (of course) looped around his neck where these things belong, Blues slipped like a weasel from the sandfort and headed straight towards the blue-teamer aiming for the bucket, grinning like a little fiend and balloons at the ready.
One of which was lobbed straight for said blue-teamer's noggin --
"I don't think so --!"

((also, anyone who wants to help -- or splat! -- the little monster, feel free X3 ))

Unloading his remaining balloons in his attacker's direction, he tried for a mad dash towards the blue team's fort. The goal? Reaching it -- and then trying to dig right through part of the bottom.

What he also didn't notice? That today he was walking into the middle of a war zone. Water balloons, sand forts, and the like weren't exactly uncommon at the beach especially this time of year. The organization between two teams , the tension between red and blue, was one "little" detail that slipped from Vesper's observation.
He had walked along the edge of the shore and settled himself into a spot on the sand. Almost dead center of the battle field. An easy target for anyone, a possible ally for either team, or just some guy getting in the way of things.

This next one, however, he was determined to catch. Vesper used both hands and made sure to follow with it to ease the landing. But instead of holding it, he threw it back. He didn't really think about it. Just seemed like the thing to do.

"Aim for their right wall!" A girl with blue bandana yelled to her teammates as she ran past for more ammo.

Everything looked so exciting, that Bass found himself in the middle of it without really knowing what was going on. He managed to bounce from place to place without being hit for awhile, but that couldn't last forever.
Help?
