[The first of the accidental holographic projections appears. It flickers into existence, mid-sentence. It is the Doctor and the Master. While it was spoken during the language mix-up, now the universal translator has kicked in, and anyone who sees it can understand the conversation. It flickers out again without explanation after the Doctor's last

[Asch doesn't stay there for the full duration of the second projection. At first he's innately curious about them, seeing as they were like the ones before the power went out. And then he recognizes Oliver.

He says nothing when the truth is revealed, looking all shades of violated and perturbed and furious instead. He drops from the Plane before the scene is finished.]

Nathan, eyes blazing red, decked out in armor, is mounted on a black horse. The horse is in the air. It runs right over the holograms, black hooves stomping on heads. Nathan's cape is blown out behind him dramatically.

He gets at least two loops over the holograms before they're gone. He has paid attention to neither of them. Good job, Nate. He probably won't stick around.]

[when the first hologram appears, Oliver is confused at the beginning, but he quickly gathers from the conversation when those events are taking place. he knew half of what is said already, but the end is something that he has no words for. he can only stare. he considers finding the Doctor, but...if he knows his friend, that isn't the response he would want. and maybe part of Oliver is still scared of the Doctor's newfound ability]

[the second projection, if possible, is even more shocking. first, Oliver is shocked to see himself. but then he sees Sefton, realises what conversation they're having, and his horror only grows with each passing word] What? No. No!

[irrational as it is, he desperately waves his hands at the hologram--or perhaps at the sky?--as if that will make it stop] No, you can't--! They'll...they'll all... [his voice falters, and he shakes his head, too horrified to continue. he's kept his empathy a secret from as many people as possible--even some of his closest friends--since the beginning. how

[Jamie manages to miss most of the first hologram, coming in near enough to the end that he doesn't think much of it - although there's a bit of face made at some of the banter between the Doctor and the Master.]

[The second projection, however, gives him pause, and he winds up watching the whole thing through, folding his arms against his chest while he does so. There's a flash of hurt in his eyes when Oliver's secret is revealed, but it's quickly hidden. Once the hologram finishes, Jamie simply turns and walks away.]

[Leela's first thought was that this was a trick. Some sort of game designed to create tension and fracture friendships. It was not the first time that the machine had broadcast conversations that they had no right to share, after all.

But that did not mean that the conversations were not true.

The conversation between the Doctor and the Master did not tell Leela anything that she did not already knew. Her loyalty to the Doctor remained steadfast and her dislike of the other Time Lord could not deepen. No, it was Oliver's conversation that made her pause.

She realised, too late, what he had been unwilling to tell her. That was what hurt. Not the fact that he had that power - he could not help it any more than a Time Lord could help the fact that they regenerated - but the fact that he had hidden it.]
