[Stumbling onto the Plane is what, at first glance, appears to be a new arrival - a shorter man with rumpled hair, wearing an equally rumpled coat that is too large for him, checked trousers and a bow-tie. One hand is currently clutching at his head, and his eyes are closed as if in pain.]
Ooh, my head...
[The man opens his eyes slowly, squinting

[the Doctor didn't quite catch Jamie's full lament, so while he heads over to who he thinks is a previous self, the ends of his long scarf always staying juuuust out of the way of his leather booted feet, he takes advantage of his loud, deep voice and says, with a hint of amusement in his tone:] Oh no, now you're here as well? At least you're not the one with the brolly, though he'd have probably planned it in some way... Well, Jamie will be pleased to see you anyway! Oh! [he stops, holding a hand up] Nearly forgot, you wanted that mirror...
[he trails off, starting to fish around in his pockets. he's trying to remember if he did carry a mirror with him back when he was this particular self]

[He has no idea what he means by 'the one with the brolly' either, but does pick up on his own name. Which means that this person knows the Doctor somehow...at least, if his suspicions are correct. That mirror would really help matters, if the person actually can find one. But how does this person know who Jamie is? He doesn't look at all familiar to the Scot.]
Wait! How do you know who I am?
Reply
[he shrugs, pulling a face.] Well, same reason I was, I suppose--which, unfortunately, I don't know.
[his eyebrows raise] Why wouldn't I? I'd know that face anywhere! I'd had it eight incarnations ago. [he smiles] Hello, Doctor.

[Given what the other man's just said, Jamie's pretty sure he knows who he is, even if he's still trying to figure out which one in particular. He points a finger at the other man, then gestures at himself.] You're the Doctor. I'm Jamie.

[he sighs and groans, completely misunderstanding what poor Jamie has tried to tell him, and theatrically tosses his arms in the air] Oh brilliant, your first day here and you've been made to think you're your friend! Not exactly your best first day, huh?
Reply
Hmm. You do look a wee bit like what Oliver said his Doctor looked like, with that hair.
[Although, the Doctor did say eight incarnations, didn't he? That doesn't quite make sense, and Jamie tilts his head, looking a bit puzzled.] Hey...which Doctor did you say you were, again?
Reply
[he frowns and leans in very close, peering at the man before him] That can't be right. I would've seen you! But... [he trails away, his sentence escaping from him. something is definitely off]
Oh! Of course, stupid Doctor. You really meant it when you said you were Jamie, didn't you?
Reply
Aye, I did. Don't you have some sort of thing that lets you know when there's another one of you around, anyway?
Reply
[he waves a hand impatiently] No, I don't have a little detector that starts beeping whenever one of my other selves appear. It'd be going off all the time, all my luck!
[but he suddenly grins and claps Two!Jamie on the shoulder] Anyway, why the long face? It could be much worse!

Aye? How? You do realize that you're stuck as me right now, back in my world?

[he pays no mind to that puzzled expression. he has ways of knowing, but the sheer surprise of seeing his second incarnation there overwhelmed that for a bit--besides, there's no greater proof than seeing it with one's own eyes.]
Am I? [he looks thoughtful as he ponders this] Well...I'd always wondered what it was like to wear a kilt...

[his eyebrows raise at that admonition. the possibility of wearing a kilt one day is a serious thing to him! but the thought has been on his mind as well, so he gets serious]
Well, then we head to that shop of theirs and demand they get someone to undo the switch. Anything that can be done here can be undone--even death--so a little body swapping shouldn't be that difficult of a problem.

Well, I don't know about you, but I wasn't on the Plane myself when this happened to me. In a way, the realities are tied to the Machine through us. It probably works on the same system as reality mergers.

So you're saying it can change things about us like it changes the bits of our worlds?
