[He doesn't know what she looks like normally, or what "Arcadia" is, and why the dog is wearing a floppy hat, as well. But she does look interesting, so he decides to approach.] Greetings. That is a very nice hat.

[He stoops to let the dog smell his hand. He likes animals.] Twenty-fourth century Starfleet uniform. I am a commander aboard the USS Enterprise. [He sort of half smiles at the dog.]

I do not typically wear it off duty. [The admission is almost a shy one, because he's yet to come to the Plane out of uniform.]

[Awwwwwww Data. Chesterton wags his tail at him, because he's coolbeans with androids! They met that one that once and he gave Chesterton lots of treats!

[Jamie is all smiles as he hurries over to catch up with her - at least, until he catches sight of Chesterton. He understands the fact that he might have to wear some odd outfit from time to time, but was it really necessary in the dog's case? He gives the Doctor a bit of a look, then shakes his head.]

Och, poor dog. What possessed ye to put a hat on him?

[Three only just manages to beam at him and get out a "JAMIE!" before Chesterton is hopping up all over him, tail wagging like mad. Luckily, he doesn't seem to really mind his hat.] I think it looks fetching.

Oof! [Well, the smile is back - this time directed at Chesterton, who is going to get himself a good scritching for his troubles.] It's good to see ye too, Chesterton.

[He snorts, though, at the Doctor's reply.] Well, I think it looks ridiculous. So do ye, come to think about it. What's an Arcadia, anyway?

Oh, it's a lovely little planet, known for its carnivals and beaches. No invasions whatsoever, it's brilliant.

[Beat.]

[laughs] Nice outfits!

[he grins as he approaches the pair. he can't quite place who Three is, but he's sure she's a friend. in any case, he bends down to pet Chesterton for the moment] Arcadia, huh? That some sort of resort?

[AWWW YAY OLIVER. Chesterton gives this man the seal of approval.] Something like that. How have you been, Oliver?
