Hello? Anyone home?
[Cordelia Chase's voice echoes through the empty shop. There is no storekeeper to greet her, no patrons in sight. Despite knowing better, Cordelia can't help herself. She lets the door swing shut behind hide her, small brass bell ringing with finality as it shuts. Like that, she finds herself on the Astral Plane.Okaaaaaay, this

Um... What?
[Okay she is thuroughly creeped out now. What IS this guy talking about?]
And yes, Wesley is an intellectual. Probably one of the smartest people I know.
[Not that she'd ever admit that to him...]
Enough about my friends, who are you and where the heck am I?

[She briefly shakes his hand, but this is a woman of business when it comes to magic, strangers, and otherworldy things. ]
You didn't answer my second question. Where am I?
[A hand goes on her hip for impatient emphasis.]

She sure loves your outfit, though.]

Oh no. I'm dead, aren't I?
[She pales, whiter than a sheet, which, by its very nature, should have clued her in that she wasn't dead. But this is Cordy we're talking about here.]

Now, no need to excite yourself, I can assure you that you aren't dead. Out of sorts, perhaps, and in a place that doesn't make much sense but you are certainly not dead.

Yes, because I'm going to believe some lady in outer space dressed in old timey clothes that this isn't some sort of "beyond." If I'm not dead, then where am I?

Count yourself lucky, I'm pretty sure the monsters are gone.
[she's smiling, through, warm amusement a sharp contrast to the long, battered coat and the military backpack strapped to it, the pistol strapped to her leg, the swords crossed at her back]
And I have aspirin in here somewhere.

[Cordelia couldn't help herself! After everything they'd seen and Kate's disappearance from the force, she was surprised to see Kate still alive. Granted it was on some strange plane, but still.]
Look you all badass with that get-up! And yes, ohmygod I would love some aspirin.

[shrugs off the back pack, unzipping one of the smaller compartments] I have stronger stuff, but I try to save it for emergency.
[with a swift flick of her hand, barely visible, she tosses Cordelia a small bottle]

This place has pretty much sucked since I got here. Please tell me it gets better, because if not, I will lose my mind being trapped here.

I've not seen anyone named Wesley about, but there's a wee building with some information if ye need it.
[Jamie motions with his head over in the general direction of the information kiosk.]
I'm pretty sure the monsters are gone, though. Ye should be safe enough for the moment.

Think it has enough information to get me home?
[Cordelia is hopeful that this guy might actually have some answers.]
I'm less concerned about monsters, those are a dime a dozen where I'm from, and more concerned with getting back to where I'm from.

[He trails off, frowning down at his box for a moment. He doesn't like the idea that some strange lass has been dragged here and forced to into making choices when she doesn't know what's going on yet.] Ye might have to vote first. I don't think the brochures actually cover that, unless they've been updated recently.
[Sorry, Cordelia, but it seems Jamie may not be much help here.]

[Cordelia looks a little discouraged.]
Thanks for the advice though, at least I have a place to start looking for info.
