[Sawako stands at the stove in the kitchen, happily stirring a pot of curry. There are various serving plates and bowls with different foods lined up along the counter buffet-style. She's humming to herself too, and there might even be sparkles and bubbles. And hexagons and diamonds, for whatever reason. She gives it one more stir, before ( Read more... )

[sniff sniff]

Delicious food, cooked by a beautiful girl. Maybe this won't be so bad after all. [Beautiful for the most part. Maybe she won't force her smile again.]

[ooc: AIM is inherits the sun or you can PM me, whatev!]

[Sawako looks behind her, wondering if someone else entered the kitchen as well. When she realizes the compliment is directed at her, she looks down and blushes]

I - I - you don't have to say things like that, but if you want something to eat, please help yourself.

[she finally looks up again and really looks at Axel]

You have new glasses, Axel-kun. They - they look very nice.

[He blinks at her and reaches up to touch his face. He's not wearing his reading glasses, so uh, hugely confused look is go.]

Uh... thanks? But I'm not wearing any.

Is it invisible glasses day? I should've brought my invisible goggles.

They're - they're not invisible. Actually, they're very noticeable.

[Axel wonders if this is some sort of odd game that she's playing.]

Really. What do they look like? I can't see them when they're on my face, you know.

They're [she pauses, tilting he head to take a good look] - they're thick and black.

A mirror might help in the future if you're unsure.

Wait, what? Mine are thin and oval. I haven't worn those things since-

-wait. Wait. Are you seriously seeing my old glasses from middle school? [He touches his face again.] Thaaat's impossible. Not only am I not wearing glasses right now, I melted them when I figured out how.

[He peers at Sawako closely, invading her personal space and all that jazz.]

I thought you were the daydreaming type, but not like this.

superoptimistic October 5 2010, 07:12:05 UTC
You melted them? That - that seems wasteful.

[she freezes and then jumps back, because PERSONAL SPACE and he's a boy!]

Not - not like what, Axel-kun?

It was for science~

[When she jumps back, he straightens and lets her have her space again.]

I'm interested in what you're seeing. Black hoodie, yellow t-shirt, awful red pants? [There are better ways to ask, but Axel can tell when people are lying. For the most part.]

Aw-awful? No, no, no, that's way too harsh and they look nice on you, and comfortable. They're - they're not awful at all, Axel-kun!

Reply

smolderingdark October 6 2010, 03:26:39 UTC
... Comfortable. Yeah. That's what I thought, too.

[He facepalms.]

Why are you seeing me like how I was when I was thirteen? That's not only disgusting, but it should be illegal.

Reply

superoptimistic October 6 2010, 23:01:22 UTC
Dis-dis-disguting? Illegal? I - I didn't mean to offend you or break any laws.

[she bows apologetically, a lot]

Please - please forgive me, Axel-kun. I - I didn't realize I -

[and then she stops midway, looking confused as she stands up straight again]

What about that was disgusting and illegal?

I don't look like that anymore, that's the problem, that's what I'm saying. I dress like a slacker, not a nerd! Though I could probably use a change of clothes...

Anyway, you're seeing things. Normally people don't hallucinate stuff that actually happened though. So you're either Sawako of Arc or the Plane did something to you.

Is a slacker better than a nerd?

I - I did have to answer a question after we became stranded here. Maybe that has something to do with it?

smolderingdark October 8 2010, 20:19:32 UTC
Definitely. Slackers are cool. Nerds are... nerdy.

[He blinks.] -- A question? What kind of question?

superoptimistic October 9 2010, 15:59:40 UTC
I - I don't really know much about that, but I think you look nice the way you look right now, even if it is nerdy.

Oh! I - I wanted to ask people about questions and decisions, because - because I thought sometimes people make decisions and aren't even paying attention, and something that might seem like an important question to the person asking might not seem so important to the person answering. So - so I thought that maybe the person who made the decision that brought us here might not even know. I have a few other questions too, but - but that's what got me to start thinking about talking to people and asking questions.
