The machine herself is located on the Plane's 'floor', next to the Markarian Chain of galaxies. [he watches and listens for a a bit before speaking] She seems to be coming along beautifully, my lord Omega.

[looking quite pleased] Unusually quickly, but she is, yes.

[he considers the TARDIS curiously, tapping his chin] I have to admit I am surprised to see her in this state.

It is surprising. But there is nothing structurally amiss; her development was merely accelerated.

So you weren't experimenting with a new technique in TARDIS growth then?

[cosmic_engineer]

None that would have results this dramatic. [a pause, as he considers] Although...

[damn_time_ring]

[leans in closer] Although...?

[cosmic_engineer]

[frowning] Perhaps it is the influence of the Plane itself, or the individuals who operate it. They are, after all, responsible for the so-called 'experiments' that take place here.

[damn_time_ring]

[he joins Omega in frowning] That may be, but...things here aren't always pleasant. What if something bad happened and you don't know yet?

[cosmic_engineer]

She would have told me. No, I believe I know what caused this. Some months ago, there we stars on the Plane.

[totally not going to admit that he wished her into growing quickly :|]

[damn_time_ring]

[he almost points out that perhaps the Plane isn't allowing her to tell him, but he knows better than to question the co-founder in such a fashion. besides, the mention of the stars derails his train of thought easily enough]

I--I remember them, yes. Quite peculiar, if I do say so myself. [but there's a guilty tone to his words. he too made a TARDIS-related wish...]

[notes Straxus's tone, glancing at him]

What do you recall of them?

[damn_time_ring]

[thinks about that for a moment before he speaks] They were like miniature suns without the heat. I almost thought I'd burn my hand, but...I felt something come over me. It was so ridiculous and childish, I couldn't even believe I had even contemplated it...

[cosmic_engineer]

[Omega can hardly be disapproving, considering he did the same thing himself]

What did you wish for, Straxus?

[damn_time_ring]

[quietly, almost...embarrassed, though he'll never admit it] A TARDIS, Lord Omega.

A worthy wish. And not entirely unlike my own.
