Oh, hello. [Waves the phone slightly.] Oh it's nothing special. Just a phone. I thought I could take some photos and put them on my computer.

...What's that then? Something involving religion or what?

[Here, have an utterly confused look!]

No. No it's just... a phone. You know, to call people with? [Offers it to her.] Have a look if you like.

...To call people with? That little thing can communicate with people?

Yes, you know, to speak to people with? Don't- [Frowny face.] Don't you have these where you're from?

[Confused face] ...I don't think so; unless they're really recent I haven't ever seen any around. How do they work?

Well you put in the number. [Moves over a little to show her as she does it.] All of these have a number, you see, and if you know the number of someone else's you can call them, like this. [Dials her own voicemail and hands it to Cally.] See?

[She jumps a little at that and tilts her head, smiling faintly] That's... Kinda awesome actually; weird but awesome! Like most people really- can it think and stuff?

No, it's just a phone. I suppose it's got a computer in it but I mean, it's not alive.

Where are you from that you don't have phones?

Oh... How does that work then? Especially if it sends messages.

Ceresbar! ...Though that probably means nothing to you, this place is kinda odd like that with all those different worlds; you can get kinda mixed up.

No... no I don't think I've heard of it. This place is a bit... well it's confusing, isn't it?

It's sorta okay, there's the whole computer part which is cool... Though I dunno what that is either.

Yeah, but fun! Who would've thought that all these different worlds could come together and not explode; nice that there's something else out there.

I think I need to learn to explain things a little clearer. [Half laughs in the back of her throat.]

I suppose so. I think I'm still a little bit shocked by it all to be able to find it fun yet.
