[hey have a 'casual' (read: not wearing a suit or lab coat) Jeremiah Arkham, since he decided to take the advice of some staff and take a day off and go into the city. The only problem is he was just in a shop and now...]

This is why I don't take time off. Things like this are bound to happen.

I'm sorry to ruin your speculations, but this isn't a hallucination.

No? What would you say this is, if not a hallucination?

Quite real, of course.

Of course. If this is real, and not an illusion as reason dictates, what precisely is this place?

[you bastard]

A good place? Have you inhaled your own fear toxins again? The effects of this will wear off soon enough, as they always do, Jonathan.

[and damn, he doesn't use them anymore, does he? So how do you....]

How can this be real? Reason dictates this is utterly impossible.

[scrutinizes his surroundings then to Crane]

You can't expect me to stand back idly while you experiment on innocent people. [frick doctor-patient confidentiality.....dammit] What precisely are you meaning to do here?

What do you call this, if not a hallucination?

Another type of reality.

Have you found there to be many types, in your experience?

{Not taking time off, kind of crazy...HMMM}

Ah, you sound like someone I know. Ne, but hopefully it isn't scary. I've never thought of the Plane as scary.

[and just as he ninja'd in Sam is gone when I return. Still....that is sort of familiar, isn't it Diva?]

Do I? [smiles] I hope I can take that as a compliment.

Fear is extremely relative, a product of environment and history, amongst other factors. What is terrifying to you might be meaningless to me, or vice versa. I must ask though, what is the Plane?

{all too familiar}

Oh, it's certainly a compliment.

{Diva just smiles at the monologue on fear} That's this place. It's where a lot of realities come together in one place, and you'll find that the people here are from all kinds of worlds. And that they're all kinds of things themselves.

If it is a compliment, then I will just leave it at that.

All kinds of things themselves? What exactly is meant by things?

An asylum's keeper? The assortment of people here grows stranger every day.

measureslunacy June 29 2009, 22:47:35 UTC
I'm no stranger to the strange, admittedly. Regardless of that, I didn't know that an asylum keeper was something deemed as odd.

Where I come from, asylums themselves are a rare and odd thing. There is, perhaps, one in the entire country.

That may indeed be a wonderful thing or a tragedy. I hope for the former, and that your country is mentally stable and well, but I fear for the latter, a nation whose madmen are left untreated and uncared for.
