[gives him a flat look] I don't suppose you can sew at all? I'm rubbish at it.

Of course I can, but you'll have to provide a needle and thread.

I should in one of the pockets, yeah. [digs through his pockets and pulls out a spool of thread and mutters 'ow' before pulling out a needle]

[Smiles and takes it all, sitting down to mend it] This shouldn't take long.

[sits down next to him] Knack for sewing, eh?

I made most of my own clothing. Kiki also tends to ruin his at an alarming rate.

My student. He's eight, and has far too much energy sometimes.

[grins] Sounds like a normal boy.

I do. I took him in when he was an infant. Goodness, he couldn't have been more than a few weeks old when I found him...[his hands pause as his mind wanders down memory lane]

[Smiles as well} I suppose I am, in a way, though I feel more like an older brother - I'm only twelve years his senior.
