[Aziraphale is currently on the Plane, sitting in front of an old table that has seen better days. There is what obviously looks to be an old book sitting in front of him, and he's currently wearing gloves as he carefully leafs through the pages]

[Crowley has been roaming the Plane ever since his encounter with Cy, looking for...well, something.

[Smug shaved cat is oh so very smug.]

[exserpens]

[And demon is v. furious, sry kitty]

CYPHER!

[cyfor]

[Sits there serenely.]

Que, sirrah, sirrah?

[exserpens]

[Starts advancing on Cy]

You have crossed the line, CAT.

[cyfor]

[She stands, her eyes glittering with pure feline wickedness.] Mind the gap, Crawly. You don't want to fall in.

[exserpens]

I won't.

[And things begin to...change. Wings emerge from shoulder blades. Fingers elongate into talons. Arms lengthen. Canines hook down into fangs. He's not done yet, but whatever he's turning into...ain't gonna be pretty.]

[cyfor]

No? [She doesn't give preamble; there's no slow transformation. Just an outward slam of air and then a much, much larger shape where the little cat was moments before. The effect of shaved fur isn't nearly so comical; now it simply makes her look like some sort of lion carved from frost and snow. She's larger than she was when she came to the plane from the Road; more than that, white and blue light pulses around her like the slow heartbeat or breathing of some greater beast. Her claws are massive, seeming incapable of being sheathed even in her snowshoe paws; saber teeth curve down past her chin.]

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

[exserpens]

[So that's how it is? Crowley can do that too, little kitty~ Faster than the blink of an eye the man-shaped being is gone, and something far larger and far more horrifying is in its place. There are too many sharp angles and goddamn teeth for this thing to be natural-and as Aziraphale once pointed out, the maggots are a bit much. No one spotting this thing would think anything but "demon," though most normal beings, upon spotting it, think of little else besides wetting themselves and running away.]

[...looks like it's showdown time.]

[exensis]

[It's not surprising that Aziraphale spotted such a spectacle on the Plane, and he rushes over as soon as he does. He looks far from scared; rather, more angry than anything. If he had a sword right now, it would be in flames] CROWLEY! Stop that this second!

[cyfor]

[Spots Aziraphale, plunks down and, once again without preamble, her size and power evaporate. There is now a grumpy, hairless kitty sitting there.] Yeah Crawly. Stop that.

[exserpens]

[Crowley notices the angel but doesn't back down immediately. He doesn't advance either, though-he just stands there, looking...well, hideous and furious, glancing from the angel to the cat and back.]

[exensis]

[Aziraphale, if possible looks even more annoyed now] Now that's enough of that Crowley. Go back to your human form, there's a good boy.

And you. [He's looking at Cy now] Don't try and act so innocent. Whatever little prank war you and him got wrapped up in, I don't see why I should have to be dragged into it like this]

[cyfor]

[Mrrt] Not my fault it was you. [Sullen]

[exserpens]

[With one last gnashing of teeth Crowley finally complies, snapping back into his usual human body. He still looks incredibly upset, and he's breathing heavily.]

[exensis]

[He places a hand on Crowley's shoulder and gives him a slight pat] That wasn't too hard, was it?

[exserpens]
