[Yuuto shows up on the beach looking a little dirty, but he's fine otherwise. His jacket is unzipped and the shirt he's wearing shows the outlines of a leather harness and weights beneath. He pauses to strip off his shoes so that he can jump around on the sand

[Ryotarou stands nearby, leaning against one of the large rocks that came with the sand and waves. He's not sure he can say anything; it's all up to Yuuto now, but he still feels like he should be around. Even if he isn't actually any more help.]

[hasarrived]

[When he doesn't get a response, he goes through the motions again. He doesn't seem to care Ryotarou is there. He's growing increasingly frustrated, though. Why doesn't it come easy unless the Imagin are inside of him? Damn it! But then again, that's the whole point of having the Imagin, and so ...]

Ugh.

... You're putting too much force into it.

[hasarrived]

No I'm n-

[insert sandy explosion here, hooray for tripping himself]

[saythistostart]

[Winces a little in sympathy, then comes over and offers a hand up.] See?

[hasarrived]

[Yuuto glares momentarily, then takes the proffered hand and gets up. The next ten seconds are filled with him spitting out sand and trying to shake it out of his hair.]

[Ryotarou steps back to let him do that.] I don't use staffs, so I can't really tell you much more than the fact that you're using too much force, but... I guess it's not my business anyway, is it?

[hasarrived]

[pleh pleh ew pleh]

Everything else I do is your business. There's no point in stopping now. [Harsh words, but then ...] I have to take what I can get.

[saythistostart]

... eh? You want me to keep doing this?

[hasarrived]

You can't fight anymore, right? [He resumes a ready stance with the staff.] So if I screw this up, it's over. Until I can prove myself... [He starts going through the set again.]

[saythistostart]

[Takes a few more steps back to give him room.]

... like I said, I don't know how to fight with staffs.

[hasarrived]

But you can tell when I'm being sloppy, right?

[saythistostart]

Well... yes.

[hasarrived]

Then that's all I need. I guess. This is stuff I should already know.

I get too comfortable with something so I slack off. And that's how mistakes happen. Haven't you told me that before?
