033: Finally We Are No One

[Hei appears out in the middle of the Plane, not really close to any of the major landmarks. He looks tired and somewhat bedraggled, but there's something different about him. He looks...well, happy. Almost to the point of being at peace

I...guess it did.

I don't think I've met you before.

[aimania]

Oh, I'm new. My name is Flonne. It's very nice to meet you.

[contract_star]

Nice to meet you too, Flonne. How are you adjusting?

[aimania]

I am adjusting well! This place is like somewhere I've been before, so it's not too strange. Uhm, what is your name?

[contract_star]

Is it? That's convenient.

Ah, I'm...Hei.

[aimania]

Yes. I thought I had wandered there by mistake at first... But most people here haven't heard of the Netherworld.

Hei-san! I will be certain to remember it.

[contract_star]

Netherworld?

[Just smiles.]

[aimania]

Yes! The Netherworld is home to demons. I guess that surprises many people here. But it's a much nicer place than it sounds. It's my home now.

[contract_star]

Ah, well. Some people here are from worlds where demons are bad, others are from worlds where they're no better or worse than humans. My world actually doesn't have any demons in it.

[aimania]

I met a nice demon here. But you're from the human world, aren't you? Most human worlds don't have demons, I think.

[contract_star]

The sounds about right. A nice demon, though--do you mean Kougaiji?

[aimania]

Yes! Kougaiji-san is very nice. In his world, demons and humans are still enemies. I guess it's not perfect in my world yet, either, but I have faith that his world will be a better place one day.

[contract_star]

Well...humans can have issues with people who are different.

[aimania]

I suppose. Humans aren't alone in their prejudices.

[contract_star]

[Blinks.] You're...right about that. I never thought about it, but...
