[hey, sort of join the club, Brig just looks like he's been skipping out on sleep] Paperwork. I'm taking a break.

[contract_star]

[Insomniacs/workaholics/crazy people unite?] Ah. Well I guess it's fortunate that nothing serious is happening.

[barelyemoting]

[hell yeah] I'd rather something be happening. It'd be better than paperwork.

[Closes his eyes and smiles tiredly.] You never appreciate the down time until you're caught up in something terrible.

I know that well enough, but it'd be a nice break from... paperwork.

I think at this moment I'd rather be caught up in paperwork than--

[And suddenly the Plane is ringing with gunfire and screaming. It's so loud that Hei squeezes his eyes shut and presses his hands to his ears, but it just gets louder and louder and louder. Hei sways and then sinks to his knees.]

Stop, stop it!

[...you just had to drop to yours knees while Brig has coffee. this is a DILEMMA... lets just say he sets it down very, very calmly, and then rests his hands on your shoulders, Hei]

[Hei is very sorry D: Or he would be if he knew you were speaking to him now, though he certainly notices you grabbing him. He jerks backward.]

[He keeps his voice low even though he feels like he should be yelling so the Brig can hear him over all the screaming.] Just...give me a second.

Are you sure?

[he doesn't touch Hei again, but he remains alert and watching]

[Hei focuses on breathing and nothing else. After a minute or so, the screaming starts to fade. Hei uncovers his ears and stares at the ground. He doesn't bother trying to get up.]

What happened?

[Takes it and gets up, though he's a bit shaky.]
