it's about time that i've told you where i've been and what i've done. heh. i make myself sound so guilty or like i have something to hide, but it's been an interesting and expensive past two weeks full of new, exciting and disturbing encounters. the story begins last, last saturday before the monday when i picked mom and madelaine up from the airport. saturday, i decided that i would finally face my fears and see jinx. jinx. well. her real name is heather, the name is probably a great indication of a little girl without much of a conscience. cory and i went to see her and we just sat on the couch/futon in her little shack while she showed us bits and pieces of her life. i was angry that they had so much in common until she pulled out her nazi youth knives and the pot she was growing in a bucket on the counter. she tried to sic a baby kitten on a full grown rat and giggled playfully while she explained how the kitten's brother or sister had been crushed to death by a board by the wall which she had painted over. it left cory and i both with a sick feeling but i think we both knew that we would probably never go back and with her, i've asked her to let me come to her. my life is full of characters, i tell ya.
sunday i picked them up and it's been a good week. i'm almost out of money, but noone can make me laugh like my sister. we have some of the most comedic times together and i love how we dont mind making fools of ourselves. for example, yesterday, we went to the beach. this is the second attempt. first time, we turned back and got her belly button pierced that day instead. yesterday, we were determined. it did look like it was going to rain, i should have just took the hint but we went through the trouble of finding a spot and lugging the shit down to the water, we set out the blanket, went for a quick swim and then started to sunbathe. well that didnt last very long before it started drizzling, and then pouring, and then hailing. everyone else was running for cover, and we couldnt think of anything else to do except continue to lay there, ass up, laughing with our sunglasses on and getting stung by hail and cold rain. when we walked back to the car, there was a couple of college guys sitting at a table outside a little deli and let me tell you, me and my sister just looked god awful, sandy, and drowned, and the guy on the edge of the table looks at us and says 'ladies holler at me, shake that ass!' i kinda just laughed and said, i should punch you. only us. only us. i dont know if you know me but i have NO ASS whatsoever.
but lets back-track. last saturday night i also surprised myself. my wonderful friend elsie and her boyfriend ash traveled up from miami, five hours to see the absence play at bourbon street and i decided to meet them. god i'm glad i did. she's beautiful and they make a great couple. i would have loved to hang with them even later but i decided to be a good girl and get home. bad idea. i was accused of drinking, smoking. everything i didnt do! oh well. eventually i will get myself to miami. i'm so glad that i know them. really.
another encounter that happened in the past week and probably the biggest and most confusing? adam, definitely. he came back for orientation. stopped by for a few minutes and it was nothing but tension. i dont even know where it's coming from to be honest. i just want to let sleeping dogs lie already.
hmm. but i'm hungry and at work. wish that i could see cory. he's so warm. lol.
