End prostitution in Dayton, Ohio?

Dec 31, 2008 02:14

Apparently this is a "shovel ready" project that has been submitted for approval in Obama's promised trillion dollar baby bailout bill.

The request is "only" for $1.2 million but I have to remark that Dayton is basically a dying city. I doubt you could find a street "walker" as the downtown area becomes a ghost town shortly after 6PM.

One wonders what, then, this $1.2 million would be spent on. Let me be the first to advise the incoming Obama administration that whatever the plan is, I can save the country $200,000 by performing the work for a mere $1 million. It's a sacrifice, but I'm willing to do my part to serve my country. Can we end prostitution in Dayton with $1 million? Yes we can!

In any event, I doubt this qualifies as a stimulus project. Well, economic, that is.
