They said what?
Their logic is this: Obama, while Senator, called the Illinois Senate leader and told him he was in favor of an ethics measure then under consideration that had been vetoed by Blagojevich.
So what does that have to do with Blagojevich getting arrested? Well, nothing. But the Times
gives credit to Obama because the Illinois Senate subsequently overrode the veto from Blagojevich of that ethics bill and then (still with me?) because this bill took effect on January 1st it obviously made Blagojevich try even harder to break the law.
Uh...yeah...I'm sure that's exactly what happened. *eyeroll*
