Tom DeLay and Ronnie Earle

Nov 05, 2008 16:19

It's been three years since rogue prosecutor Ronnie Earle started a partisan witch hunt against DeLay. Earle is retiring in January with no activity on the case in years-aside from arguing which counts can or can't be constitutionally levied against DeLay.

So what is Earle's latest "success"? Spending hundreds of thousands of Texas taxpayer dollars over six years to get a Texas corporation to cough up a $10,000 fine for a misdemeanor campaign law violation.

Wow. Earle deserves...a class on how to prioritize. Good thing for Texas taxpayers that he is retiring. I don't think they can afford much more of his style of "justice". With all the major league criminals floating around and major league crime surrounding the mortgage scandals in the past few years he chose to spend his career handing out the equivalent of traffic tickets.

My prediction: the charges will be dropped soon after Earle retires.
