Democrats keep proving themselves to be insane with rage idol worship.

I think your characterization ignores the real argument that is being made--the time-gap mandated by the 20th Amendment is largely irrelevant, thus lame duck presidents should be shown the door as soon as the we know the results of the election.

Eh, not so much. I mean, I guess it might sort of make sense when the President finishes their second term, but I think everyone is preparing for the end of their time in the Oval Office, but what about elections after one's first term?

It's not a matter of replacing 2 people on top of the Executive Branch. It's a matter of replacing hundreds of positions in the Executive Branch.

So as soon as a candidate knows he's going to be President, he spends the next two months trying to hire everyone to fill those spots.

The British can do all this quickly, as they have a Parliamentary form of government with a Shadow Cabinet, which spends its time being prepared to take over the government at a moment's notice.

Besides, McCain and Obama are still going to be Senators. If they have relevant legislation, they should feel free to try to pass it from where they sit.
