A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.....
Nearly 12,900 years ago, as the last ice age was fading away, the world was suddenly plunged back into the freezer for another 1400 years. Temperatures dropped by as much as 12 degrees Celsius, and ice sheets advanced from the polar regions toward the equator. The sudden changes were thought to be global in scale, but new research suggests that the Southern Hemisphere remained relatively balmy as the Northern Hemisphere froze. The results could shed light on what might happen if deep-sea currents change because of global warming.
So temperatures dropped by 12° Celsius about 13,000 years ago, then gradually recovered.
Hmmm...a couple of points to ponder: could it be that temperatures are still recovering?
What caused a 12° change in temperatures if Republicans and SUVs were not around? Remember, the Church of Global Warming is telling you to panic over a 1-2° change over the next century.

The study was conducted by the Danish National Space Center. It directly rebuts the UK study that came out in July, which claims that there hasn't been a solar-climate link in the past 20 years.
Wow, how could there be such staggering differences in opinions? The Danish scientists explain that the UK study relied on surface air temperature to determine that there was no solar-climate link. What the British must have forgotten is that air temperature does not respond to the solar cycle. So of course they found nothing!
The Danish scientists say that the solar cycle can be measured using tropospheric air temperature and ocean sub-surface water temperatures. From this they found that "the most recent global temperature trend is close to zero."
Ah, but the global warming hoax is not about truth, it is about the ability and power to control your life.
A recent issue of Science contains an article not likely to receive any press coverage at all. Gerd Bürger of Berlin’s Institut für Meteorologie decided to revisit the work of Osborn and Briffa, and his results raise serious questions about the claim that the 20th century has been unusually warm. Bürger argues that Osborn and Briffa did not apply the appropriate statistical tests that link the proxy records to observational data, and as such, Osborn and Briffa did not properly quantify the statistical uncertainties in their analyses. Bürger repeated all analyses with the appropriate adjustments and concluded “As a result, the ‘highly significant’ occurrences of positive anomalies during the 20th century disappear.” Further, he reports that “The 95th percentile is exceeded mostly in the early 20th century, but also about the year 1000.” Needless to say, Gerd Bürger is not going to win any awards from the champions of global warming - nothing is more sacred than 20th century warming!
