The show trials continue

As the Democrats grasp at straws in an attempt to criminalize being a Republican.
WASHINGTON (AP) - House Democrats on Monday targeted two of President Bush's longtime aides for criminal contempt citations, escalating a legal fight over executive privilege and access to White House deliberations on the firings of federal prosecutors.

Rep. John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said his panel would vote Wednesday on citing White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten and former Counsel Harriet Miers for contempt of Congress.

The Democrats are free to send their Sergeant at Arms over to the White House, where he will be met by the Marines. I wonder who will win that contest?

No wonder the Democrats are trying to place the armed forces under their control through Congress.

President Bush should just issue a blanket pardon to all living Republicans. That may be the only way to prevent such abuses of power by the Democrats.
