A decade of high energy prices

This is what trying to legislate away a problem caused by supply and demand produces.
WASHINGTON (AP) - A push from Congress and the White House for huge increases in biofuels, such as ethanol, is prompting the oil industry to scale back its plans for refinery expansions. That could keep gasoline prices high, possibly for years to come.

And let us not forget the role played in this by our friends in the environmental movement. You sued new refineries out of existence. Are you happy yet?

Are oil companies taking advantage of the situation? Of course. Is it illegal? Of course not. They're simply playing by the rules politicians and "activists" have created.

Get ready for spot shortages of gasoline and prices over $4 a gallon before it is all over.
