Up until now the nation and the economy have been able to absorb higher energy prices without falling into economic recession, as happened in the 1970s. That situation may not last, however.

What bothers me the most is that we've had years to address this problem and instead of moving forward on a broad front we are stuck fighting for which one ( Read more... )

you know we all can sit here and type messages about how bad things are.But what is sad is we all are suffering because of the stupid people who were worried about having their guns taken away or gays getting married and voted for politicians with special interests in their mind as they lied about how they will fix things and reality what did they accomplish in 8 years????what these days is really working well for the people here in the USA?why are we allowing major companies to take their manufacturing operations overseas and then import and market an over valued finished product..I think its time that we need to focus change they way we are allowing business within our country and take focus on America, before trying to police the world and tell our neighboors how they should live, because "you can lead a horse to water but can't make him drink, same is true for a camel just that bush hasn't figured that out yet..; How can we teach anyone how to run their country we hardly are a role model as things here are pretty screwed up at the moment and only going to get worse....Theres no avoiding it we pay luxury price for gas and remember that your pay check isn't getting any bigger...or keeping up with inflation of anything that is made with or moved by oil.And yes we can give tax breaks for the rich and famous.they sure need that extra money.Remember who screwed you over and lied to you over and over and you just let it go.thats how it is the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer.buy oil stock today.drive up the price more so OPEC CAN SHUT DOWN SOME MORE REFINERIES OR CUT PRODUCTION and drive it home.wait for the crash the dollars failing.money don't buy what it used to and isn't worth the paper its printed on.Buy comodities but no oil just gold or platinum or silver..screw the oil bastards.the saudis said theres enough oil and werent going to boost production when bush was just there negotiating with them...the 3 biggest oil companies combined made 36 billion dollars in the last 4 months.what did you make after the pain at the pump and eyesore at the grocery store? remember its we the people...not I'm George Bush, I run the show... we all have a voice and mind, use it wisely.Together we can accomplish great things.
