Why didn't anyone stop them?

That will be what our children ask in history class when they look back on this period.
NATANZ, Iran (AP) - Iran announced Monday that it has begun enriching uranium with 3,000 centrifuges, defiantly expanding a nuclear program that has drawn U.N. sanctions and condemnation from the West.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said at a ceremony at the enrichment facility at Natanz that Iran was now capable of enriching nuclear fuel "on an industrial scale."

Untold millions await their fate while diplomats talk endlessly and discuss whether to issue "strongly worded" memos or vote on "serious" resolutions.

Our children will point to this and other violations of international laws and treaties and Ahmadinejad's declared intention to wipe Israel off the map and wonder why no one did anything.

I wonder if they will forgive us?
