Saying "no" to the legalization of some drugs

There are some drugs which are no better than poison. Even if you favor the legalization of some drugs, as I do, you should recognize that not all drugs are safe.
ST. LOUIS (AP) - A southeast Missouri man who drew global attention for his documentary about how methamphetamine hopelessly ravaged his body died Monday still optimistic his film steers others from the highly addictive stimulant.

"He was extremely satisfied, wanting to do more in getting the word out and showing kids what meth harm does. We didn't get to that point," his father, Jack Bridges, said in a telephone interview hours after his son Shawn's death at age 35. "He didn't want anyone to go through what he did."

Thirty-five on the outside and an old man on the inside. That's what meth does to people.

To legalize meth and other drugs just as dangerous like cocaine and heroin would be suicide for our society. I consider myself a libertarian, but that doesn't mean I have to check my brain at the door when it comes to drugs. With some drugs there simply is no "safe" level of use.
