Should we connect these dots?

An Arab national in the country illegally.

In possession of a pilot's uniform and fake US identification and a DVD titled "How an Airline Captain Should Look and Act".

Plans for the Memphis, Tennessee airport.

Gee, ya think he might be a terrorist?

Okay, Mahmoud Maawad is 29. Let's not refer to him as a "university student", okay? He's a criminal and quite possibly a terrorist. He's not some 18 year old playing dress up!

And another thing, let's stop people from entering the country on a "student" visa and then allowing them to stay for years and years. It's how some of the 9-11 terrorists entered and stayed in this country and it is outrageous that we still don't have a handle on the criminals who have overstayed their visas. We can clean up the student visa mess very quickly by making the universities directly responsible for students (allegedly) attending on student visas. You want those foreign tuition dollars? Great, you keep track of them, then!

It's been four years since 9-11, people. That's three and a half years longer than it should have taken to fix the student visa problem.
