I can't believe this is an issue!

The "dire" headline:
Limited-English Students May Not Graduate

I should hope so!

Let's phrase that a different way: "students who cannot read or write may not graduate".

Why is this even an issue? The reason is two-fold. First, the group pushing this as an "issue" is one that pushes for higher Federal spending on education. Thus, it has to frame each situation as a problem and one that is only solved by increased funding at the Federal level. Secondly, the push by "multiculturalists" to accept foreign languages as "official" in every situation is creeping into all aspects of society. We should not be surprised they are now claiming that immigrant children should not have to learn English in order to graduate from high school.

Coming soon: lawsuits against companies that insist you speak English in order to be hired!
