Kerry fails to get a bounce from Edwards

It may be because it was one of the worst kept secrets in Washington, or because it was one of the most boring secrets in Washington, but John Kerry actually lost ground in the most recent polls despite the news blitz from the Edwards announcement. While the two have been doing a lot of hugging in front of cheering crowds of Democrats, the voters at large have reacted in much the same way as yours truly: with a yawn.

The choice is designed to continue the Democrat strategy of treating the south as if it contained millions of white male racists who will only vote for another white southern male.

Edwards has been upstaging Kerry at campaign events, but his influence on independent and undecided voters will be minimal. He simply doesn't have a track record that will influence those voters.

Kerry better think of something to attract swing voters in the next two weeks. If he is still trailing Bush in the polls coming out of the convention, he is toast!
