President Obama, attempting to recover from his disastrous announcement that Israel should surrender to the terrorist factions opposing it and retreat to (largely indefensible) borders from a half-century ago has decided that a Big Lie is the way to go.
Obama today stated that his decision that Israel should surrender
has always been the US policy for the region.
President Barack Obama defended his endorsement of Israel's 1967 boundaries as the basis for a future Palestine, telling America's pro-Israel lobby Sunday that his views reflected longstanding U.S. policy that needed to be stated clearly.
The truth is, of course,
different from what Obama claims it is.
“It is clear, however, that a return to the situation of 4 June 1967 will not bring peace. There must be secure and there must be recognized borders.”
- President Lyndon Johnson, September 1968
“In the pre-1967 borders, Israel was barely ten miles wide at its narrowest point. The bulk of Israel’s population lived within artillery range of hostile armies. I am not about to ask Israel to live that way again.”
- President Ronald Reagan, September 1, 1982
“Israel will never negotiate from or return to the 1967 borders.”
- Secretary of State George Shultz, September 1988

Obama simply doesn't care what the truth is. His only goal is to fool enough voters into returning him to office and to try and inflict as much of his policies on the country as he can while he is in office. He knows it will take years, if not decades, to reverse the damage he is doing to the country.
