More on the complicit media and gas prices

NewsBusters rounds up the (lack of) coverage of high gas prices and the disparity in reporting on them during similar periods of increasing prices in the Bush and Obama administrations.

It's always "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" about the Obama administration in the complicit MSM.

Oh, you mean gas prices are necessarily skyrocketing? I hadn't even noticed that it went from $28.00 to $40.00 to fill my car. Just like I hadn't noticed that soldiers are still dying in Afghanistan, that there is record snow and cold throughout the world, and there's a problem along the southern border of our country with violent illegal immigrants and drug runners.

I'm sure if any of these things were important a respectable news organization would be plastering the radio and television with constant updates and information.

I'm sure of it.

I was listening to the marketplace morning report on NPR on the drive in today. They had an economist on saying the stock markets are continuing to do well because there's no place else for Wall St. to put the money and that investors aren't worried about rising oil prices because consumers have seen it before and are used to it now.

So, of course, today prices take another jump, the Dow closes down a full percent and gold hits an all time high.

Oops.

Not a lot of mention about food and clothing prices going up as well.

If the MSM existed during the Roman Empire:

"Emperor Nero is one hell of a fiddler, isn't he?"

I've watched gas prices go from $3.05 to $3.15 to $3.25 to $3.35 in a matter of days.

I also like that the media has failed to report much on the impact of rising gas prices on other things, such as food.

That and they haven't reported on the rising commodity prices either that has been going on for some time.
