Global warming hits Chicago

Feb 02, 2011 19:34

The Church of Climate Change has pronounced the huge blizzard that blanketed the upper half of the US this week as "evidence of global warming".

This kind of "global warming", to be specific.

Oh Really?

Apparently using disgraced (and alleged) scientist Michael Mann as a source didn't raise any red flags, but then again we are talking about LiveScience and MSNBC here.

Since they've been unable to prove (either in advance or retrospect) that man-made global warming is happening the people perpetuating the hoax have moved to phrases like "climate change" to encompass their revised theory that anything that happens is evidence of global warming (um, I mean climate change). More storms? Fewer storms? More intense storms? Drought? Flood? Hot summer? Cold winter? All caused by global warming climate change.

That's their story and they're sticking to it.

Meanwhile, back in the real world we only see evidence that the people perpetuating the hoax can't predict their way out of a paper bag. And, as witnessed by the winter weather that has become common (once again) across much of the US, we're in the midst of a cooling trend and not a warming one.

Mr. Mann should have stopped when his infamous hockey stick chart was exposed. At this point he's not fooling anyone except those who wish to be fooled. The only evidence I see of global warming climate change is that which proves the gloom and doom is "Mann"-made and not man-made.
