Obama responsible for higher gas and oil prices

It's amusing to see the same leftists who tried to blame President Bush for high oil and gasoline prices a few years ago suddenly lose interest in the subject now that gas prices have doubled since Obama took office.

Unlike the left, which simply claimed a giant, oil-wing conspiracy against America was behind the price moves under Bush, the people who are calling out Obama can actually point to things Obama has done that have resulted in higher prices.

Indeed, Obama himself has been feeling the heat from his own party (do doubt sick of losses in Congress and at the state level) and recently allowed a few companies to resume applying for drilling permits. I think we all know the applications will be trumpeted by the administration as sign that Obama isn't really trying to kill off the oil industry but little will be done with the actual permits applications.

Isn't it great that we finally have a President who will "do something" about oil and gas prices? I guess when the leftists were crying for this a few years ago they just forgot to tell us that by "do something" they meant make prices even higher.
