on the beauty of human sexuality

i guess this is something that not a lot of people know about me, and it may sound kind of weird at first, but i find the sexuality of us as human beings to be one of the most beautiful things in the whole world.
as a catholic, i view sex as something sacred and precious, a gift, not just an action, shared between two people. i mean, man can claim to create this and that all he wants but through sex, and not through science, we create another living thing, another human. what a beautiful miracle! i can not think of anything i am more fascinated with than the human body. it is the epitome of everything i love about art and life. each curve, each subtle little rise and fall of the skin, the thousands of details...i am so in love with every last one. when it comes to portraying the human figure in my work, i strive for absolute perfection; to settle for anything less goes against my very nature as an artist.

it's this driving passion for the human figure and the beauty of sexuality that has led me to this coming year's creative venture- eros in art. i'm really excited (and funnily enough, though not surprisingly, several of my friends have volunteered themselves to the cause). this is something i've always wanted to explore, and so, with auguste rodin as my inspiration, i head out into this strange and unknown world of artistic erotica. wish me luck.
