"If you read the front page story of the SF Chronicle, you would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her ( Read more... )

These kind of stories fill me with a most inexplicable kind of joy. :D Once when I was little I went whale watching, and I remember wondering if it was really more the other way around.

There is a type of male that mates out of the water, powering up and breaking the surface and standing on their tales on top of the water. The actual act of copulation lasts less than ten seconds, and then they fall back into the water. Now, that's exciting.

I wondered that, too. I mean, they seem to show off for the whale watchers, jumping around and waving. They're such beautiful creatures. I'd love to be a whale, except, not right now.

Particularly if you were a whale in Japan.

That's actually really funny because where I wrote that typo "male" instead of "whale", I actually saw that I'd written it when I first wrote it, and I swear I remember going back and changing it, but it's still "male"! Whoa!

It was great! Except for the sprained ankle. There was good kissing involved. Beautiful lips.

how did you sprain your ankle & who did you kiss?

I have weak ankles.... I am constantly hurting them.... in grade 12 I jumped from the top of the stairs to the bottom and landed on my ankle... i was in so much pain, they had to carry me out of school on a stretcher.... it was quite dramatic.....

I sprained my ankle flipping and hand-standing about, earlier that day... but it didn't start hurting at all until I sat down in the cold that night and stopped walking on it for half an hour. Then it was unbearable.

I kissed a friend of mine, who was a little heart broken, and it meant we both went to bed happy. I enjoy kissing more than sex.
